Natural gas has been approved as a fuel for vehicles because it provides savings for users, reducing environmental pollution and engine wear.
The application of compressed natural gas for vehicular use leveraged and modernized the transport system in Brazil, as well as in several technologically developed countries.

CNG is undoubtedly the safest, cleanest and the most economical fuel available today. MAT cylinders store this fuel at a pressure of 200/250 bar (20/25 Mpa). CNG is lighter than air and, in case of leakage, it spreads quickly into the atmosphere, reducing the risks of explosion or fire, unlike liquid fuels. In addition, in order to ignite CNG, it must be subjected to a temperature of approximately 620 ºC, whereas gasoline, for example, ignites at a temperature of approximately 200 °C (*). The CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) storage in all cylinders requires advanced technology, in which safety and quality are primary items.
